On 26th March 2021 the Welsh Government announced further easing of the COVID regulations. From 27th March this allows people to travel anywhere in Wales but crossing the English/Welsh border for exercise is not permitted. It allows for up to 6 people from 2 households to meet outdoors, and organised events can start again, but only for under 18s.
On 1st April it was announced that on 3rd May organised events for up to 30 adults can begin. The Updated Coronovirus Control Plan (https://gov.wales/sites/default/files/publications/2021-03/coronavirus-control-plan-revised-alert-levels-in-wales-march-2021.pdf)
shows what will be allowed at each alert level. This indicates that, unless covered by the organised event regulations only a group of six people from 2 households can meet up outdoors under Alert Level 3 (starting 3rd May). This means that the 2 household rule will not be removed until we go into Alert Level 2, presumably sometime in the summer. Club events will therefore be able to be held as organised events with risk assessments and other regulations but casual meets for more than two households will not be possible until we are in Alert Level 2 or the Welsh Government change there regulations.
CMC is planning on having walks as organised events from 3rd May. Other outdoor organised events, such as climbing events, might be planned if the event organiser works with the COVID officer to create a COVID safe organise event.
